Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)

Bandung Creative Movements (BCM) is an international event organized by the Faculty of Creative Industries, Telkom University, Bandung-Indonesia. The conference has been held annually since 2013 and consists of three main activities: the International Conference on Creative Industries, Professional and International Creative Industry Workshops, and Art and Design Exhibitions.

Since its first event, the BCM has been attended by at least 15 universities in Indonesia and abroad. The conference has presented speakers from industry, academia, and members of international professional associations from Asia and Europe.

The 11th BCM accepts and selects papers to be published as proceedings. Selected papers will be published in the Scopus-indexed journals and the national journal accredited by Sinta, which has already worked with the BCM.

BCM 2024 Conference Theme:

"CULTIVATING GLOBAL COLLABORATIONS IN ARTS, DESIGN, AND HUMANITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE CREATIVE INDUSTRIES"

In recent years, the sustainable creative industries have experienced significant growth in collaborative practices. Institutions, united in their commitment to multidisciplinary sustainability, have systematically developed diverse collaboration methods. Each institution contributes to a varied spectrum of cooperative approaches, shaping a distinct collaborative language. These efforts not only challenge traditional paradigms but also introduce innovative strategies that go beyond established norms, fostering an environment conducive to creativity. Moreover, they underscore the intrinsic importance of connectivity, highlighting the necessity of cultivating global partnerships to advance sustainable practices in the realms of arts, design, and humanities.

Central to this focus is the advancement of research in arts, design, and craft, alongside the cultivation of collaborative dynamics aimed at transitioning innovations into sustainable practices within creative industries. This emphasis underscores the significance of exploring and nurturing collaboration across various stakeholder groups and organizational structures. Through the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration, our aim is to foster a global network of partnerships dedicated to promoting sustainability within the domains of arts, design, and humanities.

Contributions in this topic should address various collaboration/coordination/cooperation types and approaches, teams and communication studies. The research findings on the role of practices in the creative industries are also welcomed.
