Festival Tabut Sebagai Inspirasi Aplikasi Crochet Pada Produk Fashion Muslim

Abstract

Abstract This research contains how to applicate an inspiration of cultural heritage on fashion Moslem product with a textile technique such as structure technique, which on this research structure technique that using is a crochet technique. On this research, a cultural heritage that taken by the author is a Festival Tabut. Festival Tabut is a traditional celebration of Bengkulu that celebrated on the 1st Muharram until 10th Muharram on Hijriyah year. Festival Tabut celebrated to every people that died on Padang Karbala, commemorate Husein that willing to sacrifice in defending the truth and commemorate Islamic glory between the 7th century and 13th century.Background of the problem in this research is not yet the development of Muslim fashion products that adopt the Festival Tabut as a cultural inspiration using crochet techniques. This research has a purpose to adopt a potential of Festival Tabut to be an inspiration of fashion product, to adopt a crochet technique by exploration, also to applicate Festival Tabut which using a crochet technique on Moeslem Fashion product.This research is qualitative research which has data by the interview with people that have interactions with Festival Tabut, do an observation to see a potential of Festival Tabut that will apply to Muslim Fashion product, Literature studies are conducted to strengthen data on research, also do an exploration. The result of this research is the Muslim products of outer fashion, bags, and wallets.
