Abstract
Kalimantan is an area that is very rich in natural beauty, one of which is forest. In the forests of Kalimantan, many trees grow and have many benefits and have a fairly good development, one of which is areca nut trees. Areca trees are plants that are still questionable history of it's origins, it is estimated that it originated from several regions in Indonesia, one of which in Kalimantan. Areca nuts have been used for hundreds of years to chew or cook, besides that, areca seeds have many other benefits, namely for health, food ingredients, trade, and the needs of traditional ceremonies. Therefore, the author was inspired to utilize and develop areca beans to be used as beads embellishment material that was applied to ready to wear deluxe types of clothing using surface design techniques, namely beadding for areca nut compilation, embroidery and digital printing as supporting techniques using fiber inspiration in areca seeds.
