Abstract

Abstract
Textile Decorative techniques are all of colours and design methods inlaid on a textile surface, for examples, block printing, tie-dye, stencil, batik freehand painting, and silk printing. In today’s Textile Decorative development, several designers do combines certain methods of Textile Decorative to their creations. Such is Novita Yunus and Valori Wells. Whereas block printing and ikat celup are highly combinable potential due both similarity in the handmade techniques. According to the end-results of observation and interviews at Keraton Kanoman (that) Keraton Kanoman’s porcelain do possesses historical values, for it was a gift from the kingdom of China to Sunan Gunung Djati. Hence, the motifs on Keraton Kanoman’s porcelain can be a vision to the combination of block printing and ikat celup techniques.
This research adopts the qualitative method in the form of literature studies, analysis based on the observation of combining two different techniques and Keraton Kanoman, interviews; continue with material experiments afterwards, motifs and composition. The experiments net result of block printing has shadowy effects and tie-dye barricade motifs out of a sewing machine, also motifs composition produced is the composition of different colours loop that it backwashes of gradation effects. Said exploration implication is developable to a prêt-a-porter product in reference of design analysis from concept and targeted market. The outcome of this research hopefully will able to introduce two different techniques combinations which applied to fashion accessories.
