Abstract

Abstract The world of fashion is need to be watched, related to how fashion is the world secon d largest waste producer with its production process. That case triggered the rise of zero waste fashion design technique, a technique for clothes production where all remaining pieces of fabric was planned to be clothes as well since the very beginning. To fill the concept of zero waste, designer have to make a pattern with less than 15% waste of fabric. according to that problem, This research was held by collecting data about zero waste fashion design with literature, observations, interview and exploring to analyzing the zero waste geometrical cutting pattern for clothes and the application of engineer print. This design creates ready to wear clothes for women using japan drill fabric that have a traditional value by applying tenun Sumba motif that adapted with digital stilation technique.
