Perancangan Interior Islamic Boarding School SMPIT Insantama Magelang dengan Pendekatan Biophilic Design

Abstract

Abstrak :Seiring pertumbuhan jumlah siswa dan tenaga pengajar di SMPIT Insantama Magelang, bersamaan itu pula muncul kebutuhan sarana fisik pendukung berupa gedung-gedung baru untuk ruang kelas dan ruang penunjang lainnya. Sesuai visi dan misi sekolah menjadi sekolah unggul di Indonesia maka interior SMPIT Insantama harus bisa mewakilkann branding sekolah baik melalui logo ataupun warna. Dilihat dari segi eksisting bangunan, SMPIT Insantama Magelang ini dapat digolongkan menjadi sekolah urban dimana letaknya berada di kawasan perkotaan dengan lingkungan padat penduduk dan keterbatasan ruang terbuka hijau. Kelemahan dari Urban School ini adalah hilangnya koneksi dari user sekolah tersebut dengan alam. Hal ini berpotensi menimbulkan isu kesehatan mental seperti anxiety pada anak. Untuk menghindari hal tersebut , perancangan SMPIT Insantama Magelang dilakukan dengan pendekatan Biophilic Design yang difokuskan untuk menghadirkan alam ke lingkungan belajar. Dengan demikian tercapai suasana lingkungan pendidikan yang nyaman, produktif, dan bebas dari isu kesehatan mental. Kata Kunci: sekolah, branding, biophilic design Abstract : As the number of students and teaching staff grows at SMPIT Insantama Magelang, at the same time the need for supporting physical facilities is in the form of new buildings for classrooms and other supporting spaces. In accordance with the vision and mission of the school to become a superior school in Indonesia, the interior of SMPIT Insantama must be able to represent the school's branding either through logos or colors. In terms of the existing buildings, SMPIT Insantama Magelang can be classified as an urban school where it is located in an urban area with a densely populated environment and limited green open space. The weakness of this Urban School is the loss of connection between the school user and nature. This has the potential to cause mental health issues such as anxiety in children. To avoid this, the design of SMPIT Insantama Magelang was carried out with a Biophilic Design approach that was focused on presenting nature to the learning environment. In this way an educational environment that is comfortable, productive and free from mental health issues is achieved. Keywords: school, branding, biophilic design
