Perancangan Interior Coffee Center dan Sekolah Kopi Bersertiikasi SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) di Bandung

Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara penghasil kopi terbanyak di dunia dan Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu penghasil biji kopi terbaik sehingga pada 14 – 17 April 2016 kopi Jawa Barat menjadi juara pertama dalam Specialty Coffee Association of America Expo di Atlanta, Amerika Serikat (Susanti, 2016). Meningkatnya pengkonsumsi kopi di Indonesia, terutama di Bandung, adalah karena menikmati kopi sudah menjadi salah satu kebutuhan dan gaya hidup banyak orang didalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Peracik kopi atau barista menjadi salah satu profesi yang menarik pada saat ini. Kopi menjadi salah satu lahan bisnis yang berkembang terutama di Bandung. Hal ini dilihat dari banyaknya coffee shop yang bermunculan di kota Bandung. Rasa penasaran para pelaku kopi pada berbagai macam biji kopi dengan cita rasa yang berbeda mendorong keinginan pengkonsumsi dan peracik kopi untuk mempelajari dan mengulik untuk menyeduh kopi sehingga peserta pada sekolah kopi di Bandung terus meningkat tiap tahunnya. Perancangan Coffee Center dan sekolah kopi bersertifikasi SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) ini memberikan wadah sebagai pusat aktifitas dan edukasi mengenai dunia perkopian dengan tujuan untuk menginspirasi dan memperluas ilmu dan perdagangan yang bersangkutan dengan perkopian melalui pendidikan dan penelitian mulai dari sejarah kopi dan proses awal hingga akhirnya kopi agar dapat dikonsumsi dengan fasilitas yang lengkap guna untuk tempat perkumpulan komunitas dan pelaku kopi di Bandung. Kata Kunci : SCA, kopi, kelas barista, sekolah kopi, coffee lab Abstract Indonesia is one of the most coffee-producing countries in the world and West Java is one of the best producers of coffee beans so that on 14-17 April 2016 West Java coffee won first place at the Specialty Coffee Association of America Expo in Atlanta, United StateS (Susanti, 2016). The increasing consumption of coffee in Indonesia, especially in Bandung, is because enjoying coffee has become one of the needs and lifestyles of many people in everyday life. Coffee makers or baristas are one of the interesting professions at the moment. Coffee is one of the growing business fields, especially in Bandung. This is seen from the number of coffee shops that have sprung up in the city of Bandung. The curiosity of the coffee players on various types of coffee beans with different flavors has encouraged the desire of consumers and coffee makers to study and learn to brew coffee so that participants in coffee schools in Bandung continue to increase each year. The design of the Coffee Center and the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certified coffee school provides a place as a center for activities and education about the world of coffee with the aim to inspire and expand the knowledge and trade concerned with coffee through education and research starting from coffee history and the initial process to the end coffee so that it can be consumed with complete use facilities for community gatherings and coffee makers in Bandung.
