Abstract

Abstrack Men's shirts began to change from material, function, motif, and shape. This also affects the interest of shirt buyers also increasing because men's shirts represent men's basic clothes that can be used for various events. This progress also affected men's shirts made from the Indonesian archipelago such as weaving, batik and other literature, one of the traditional fabrics used as a lurik woven shirt. Currently, lurik woven products have begun to be appointed by local designers and brands, this is because weaving lyrics are being developed such as colors and motifs that are increasingly diverse, yarn used and better quality. But in terms of production, men's shirts produce most of the waste cloth purchased and the fabric is not used. This study finds opportunities for striated clothes users using the zero waste method. Method that produces fabric in 15%. This study uses methods from literature sources, observations and experiments on men's shirt patterns with the zero waste method. Then the resulting product will be a men's shirt with a combination of lurik woven and cotton using a combination of zero waste methods, namely geometric cuts and basic cuts and pleats as an additional technique.
