Abstract

Abstrac Weaving is one of the textile products in Indonesia, specifically in Java, the Tuban gedog weaving. In general, gedog weaving is made for batik, but this gedog weaving is also made into a shawl, which at the end will produce the remaining fiber yarn, which is then processed into a krawangan. krawangan is taken from the Tuban language itself which means crochet. The function of this krawangan is only as decoration at the end of the scarf, and there is no application of fashion products yet. Developing krawangan is one of the solutions to overcome problems in the application of limited krawangan. The development carried out is to use existing krawangan techniques, so as not to eliminate the special characteristics of the krawangan, and to use tukel yarn as material. The purpose of this study is to utilize the visual characteristics of the krawangan to be applied to fashion products, in the form of ready to wear clothing with the theme "intention". Keywords: Tuban gedog weaving, krawangan, tukel yarn.
