Penerapan Teknik Zero Waste Pada Busana Syar’i Dengan Material Kain Tenun Lurik

Abstract

ABSTRACT In recent years, Modest fashion trends are increasingly developing in Indonesia. In Indonesia modest fashion is more intended for Muslim clothes. Therefore, shar'i clothes is included simply by following the standards of Islamic Shari'ah. Shar'i clothes using traditional Indonesian fabrics has been introduced by many Indonesian Muslim designers, one of them is lurik woven fabric which one of the typical woven fabrics in Central Java. In the future, lurik woven has the potential to be developed and made into shari'i clothes given the growing trend of shari'i and minimal usage of lurik woven cloth in shari'i clothing. The existence of developments in this fashion trend causes that fashion is not following Islamic rules so it's not optimal when used for worship. Therefore, to facilitate Muslim women in their worship activities, syar'i clothes is needed that has the function to worship by adding some features in it. Shar'i clothes with the concept of zero waste supporting the Shar'i Clothing concept itself is not excessive for both clothing and the production process that minimizes waste so it is not wasteful. This study supports the use of multifunctional shar'i clothing using the zero waste pattern cutting method with the use of lurik woven fabric.
