This technique used to be on greeting cards, posters, etc. as a graphic design printed on a paper surface. However, in its development this technique can also be used in the fashion industry. Block Printing Technique in Indonesia was known by the public around 2000-2008 but now the block printing technique has declined. The application of block printing techniques requires motifs that can be visualized on paper or cloth print media, visual inspiration that can be implemented can be from anywhere, one of which is Indonesia's tropical forest with its endemic flora, Pine Merkusii. The research method used is a qualitative method with observation data collection techniques, data from the study of literature, interviews and experiments. Pine merkusii has been applied on linen (natural fiber) material using pine wood printing plates. In addition, the ink used is acrylic fabric and fabric ink. The block printing technique inspired by Pine Merkusii has optimal techniques such as layering, thick ink, thin ink and gradation. The block printing technique inspired by Pine Merkusii has become a ready to wear deluxe clothing product, because the block printing technique is limited and the printing process is handmade.
