Pengolahan Daun Ketapang (ficus Lyrata) Sebagai Bahan Pewarna Alam Untuk Produk Bertema Edgy
Abstract
Indonesia is a country that is rich in abundant natural resources, many of which are plants that can be used as natural dyes. Natural dyes produced by plants have been in great demand lately, as the development of the textile industry players work together to make designs using natural materials. One of the plants used as natural dyes is the ketapang plant. Ketapang, is one of the plants that can flourish in Indonesia, this plant is very easy to find in the lowlands to the highlands, one of which is to grow in the city of Bandung. Height can reach 9 to 14 meters with a strong stem and level up, and has large leaves like a violin. Ketapang contains tannin which can produce red to brown color, in this experiment the author conducted an experiment using a binder which was added as a lock in the form of tunjung, tunjung which contained hard chemicals by mixing with ketapang to produce black. In this experiment the intended color is in the form of a strong black color but must be dyed repeatedly to produce maximum color. Black is one of the colors that have edgy style. Edgy itself is a style of dress that looks free, brave, and mysterious. There have been various kinds of local brands that use materials with the use of natural dyes. In this design, the writer aims to make a work with ketapang leaf material combined with a trendy style that intends to introduce modern culture.
