Abstract

ABSTRACT With the advancement of industry in Indonesia, the development of natural material processing has developed. In some experts state that one of the raw materials derived from nature is natural dyes for textile materials obtained from extracts of some parts of plants. Indigofera natural dyes are natural dyes that can be developed and are among the types of natural dyes that produce blue color and have good fastness. Seeing from the fashion industry that often applies indigo natural dyes with dyeing techniques, get the opportunity to provide innovation in developing indigo natural dyes that can be applied as dyes for the stamp technique. Stamp is a sign that is made by pressing a tool that is coated with wet media (paint, coloring paste, discharge paste, or adhesive) to the fabric. The application of the stamp technique has already been applied to textile materials. In some observations stamp media experts can use alternative media in the surrounding environment. Banana stem is one of the natural potential that is found in Indonesia because the availability of bananas in Indonesia is very abundant. Seeing this potential can create new innovations from the processing of indigofera natural dyes with the banana sheath stamp technique on fashion products.
