Perancangan interior International Boarding School Yogyakarta dengan Kurikulum Respon Gempa yang Aplikatif

Abstract

Abstrak International Boarding School Yogyakarta merupakan sekolah berasrama berbasis kurikulum International Baccalaureate. Kurikulum ini menerapkan aspek khusus dalam pembelajaranya yaitu menekankan aspek pembelajaran bahaya bencana gempa. Strategi dalam penyampaian materi sekolah, tidak hanya melalui aspek edukasi dalam pembelajaranya, namun juga diaplikasikan pada desain interior yang dapat berfungsi ganda sebagai fasilitas berlindung sementara maupun jeda untuk proses evakuasi dalam merespon bahaya gempa di sekolah dan asrama. Faktor penentu dalam mendesain interior yang aplikatif terhadap bencana gempa di IBSY yaitu melalui pertimbangan dari perilaku pengguna sekolah. Yang setelah itu dapat di simpulkan dapat gunakan pendekatan Flexibility Interior Response yang mejadi pilar dalam menentukan konsep rancangan. Maka dari itu di butuhkan pembiasaan dalam belajar mengenai aspek bahaya di sekolah melalui konsep “Learning Respresentative Earthquake Response “ melaui konsep desain dapat mempermudah anak dengan penggunaan bentuk yang flexible dan merespon. Selain itu seperti di terapkannya sign system yang mudah di ingat oleh anak saat terjadi gempa, membuat anak dan pengguna lain lebih paham secara sensorik bagaimana untuk berlindung dan evakuasi saat terjadi gempa di sekolah. Maka di butuhkan suasana pendukung dalam interior seperti suasana yg mengedukasi “ Educational Safety Room†dalam mendukung pencapaian konsep tersebut Kata Kunci : International Boarding School, International Baccalauratte, Interior Respon Gempa Abstract International Boarding School Yogyakarta is a boarding school based on the International Baccalaureate curriculum. This curriculum discusses specific aspects in learning, namely aspects of earthquake hazard planning. The strategy in the delivery of school material, not only through the educational aspects of the learning process, but also applies to interior design that can be used double as a temporary shelter facility or pause for evacuation in response to earthquake disasters in schools and dormitories. The deciding factor in designing an interior that is applicable to the earthquake disaster at IBSY is through consideration of the problem of school users. Which after that can be used using Interior Response Flexibility which is a pillar in determining the design concept. Therefore, it is necessary to familiarize with learning about the aspects of danger in school through the concept of "Learning Responsive Earthquake Responses" through design concepts that can help children by using flexible and responding forms. In addition, the application system is easy for children to remember when an earthquake occurs, making children and other users better understand sensory how to protect and evacuate when an earthquake occurs at school. Therefore, environmental support in the interior such as a space that educates the "Educational Safety Room" in supporting the success of the concept.
