Perancangan Interior Museum Tekstil Jawa Barat

Abstract

ABSTRACT Abstrac  West Java consists of many regions, therefore, West Java has a big diversity of cultural products, one of which is textile products. In the process of traditional textile production, one must go through several steps, of which is not instant, making the whole process to take a long time before the finished products can be used. not only does it take a long time, most processes like the process of turning fibers into yarn, yarn into fabric, and fabric into textile products, requires manual labour. This is one of many reasons people choose to abandon the technique, traditional textiles are not able to easily compete with modern textile, where the productions are shorter and easier with the help of new machines. The purpose of designing the West Java Textile Museum is to create interior facilities as a means of education, conservation, and research specifically for West Java textile products, in order to introduce each processes and the finished products of West Java textile so it will not be gone in extinction. West Java Textile Museum will be designed with the themes and concepts that are in accordance with the design approach that has been determined, as a form of problem solving. Keyword - Textile Museum, West Java, Interior Design ABSTRAK Abstrak  Jawa Barat memiliki keanekaragaman daerah, dengan begitu Jawa Barat memiliki berbagai macam keanekaragaman hasil budaya, salah satunya adalah produk tekstil. Pada pembuatan produk tekstil secara tradisional, harus melalui beberapa proses yang memakan waktu cukup lama sebelum dapat digunakan. Seperti proses serat menjadi benang, benang menjadi kain, kain menjadi produk tekstil yang dimana semua pengerjaannya membutuhkan tenaga kerja manual . Hal tersebut menjadi salah satu alasan ditinggalkan, karena tekstil tradisional tidak mudah bersaing dengan alat tenun mesin. Tujuan perancangan Interior Museum Tekstil Jawa Barat adalah menciptakan fasilitas interior sebagai sarana edukasi, konservasi, dan penelitian khusus produk tekstil Jawa Barat, agar bisa memperkenalkan bagaimana proses hingga hasil jadi produk tekstil Jawa Barat dan tidak hilang begitu saja. Museum Tekstil Jawa Barat akan dirancang dengan tema dan konsep yang sesuai dengan pendekatan perancangan yang telah di tentukan, sebagai bentuk pemecahan masalah.
