Pengaruh Platform Youtube Terhadap Perkembangan Video Art Di Indonesia

Abstract

ABSTRAK Seni Video/Video Art merupakan sebuah medium seni yang terbilang sangat muda di Indonesia yang baru muncul pada akhir tahun 1990an, tentu hal ini membuat Video Art masih berada ditahap awal perkembangannya. Kemajuan teknologi yang semakin pesat turut serta mengiringi perkembangan dunia Seni rupa yang dipadukan oleh digital dan teknologi pada tahun 2000-an itu salah satunya Video Art. Perkembangan Teknologi selalu menghadirkan terobosan-terobosan besar yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap gaya hidup manusia, salah satunya Platform Digital. Penelitian ini ter fokus pada Platform Youtube sebagai platform berbagi video yang memiliki karakteristik dan basis yang sama dengan Video Art. Hadirnya Youtube ditengah-tengah kehidupan manusia secara tidak sadar mempengaruhi aspek-aspek lainnya, tak terkecuali perkembangan Video Art yang terpengaruh dengan hadirnya Youtube ke Indonesia pada awal tahun 2000-an yang dirasa sangat pas hadir hampir bersamaan dengan Video Art yang sedang panas-panasnya “digoreng†di ruang lingkup seni di Indonesia. Untuk pendekatan keilmuan, penulis menggunakan Metode historis, Kajian Pustaka, Seni, Teknologi Video dan teori Sosiologi seni. Pada penelitian ini penulis mencari pengaruh yang diberikan Youtube terhadap perkembangan Video Art di Indonesia terutama pada era yang serba digital ini dimana Youtube dirasa memiliki segmen yang pas atas Video art dikarenakan memiliki karakteristik dan basis yang sama yaitu Video. Kata Kunci: Youtube, video art, sejarah, platform ABSTRACT Video Art / Video Art is a relatively young art medium in Indonesia which only emerged in the late 1990s, of course this makes Video Art still in its early stages of development. Increasingly rapid technological advances have accompanied the development of the world of art combined with digital and technology in the 2000s, one of which is Video Art. Technological developments always present major breakthroughs that greatly affect the human lifestyle, one of which is the Digital Platform. This research focuses on the Youtube platform as a video sharing platform that has the same characteristics and basis as Video Art. The presence of Youtube in the midst of human life unconsciously affects other aspects, including the development of Video Art which was influenced by the arrival of Youtube to Indonesia in the early 2000s which was considered very fitting to be present almost at the same time as Video Art was hot " fried â€in the scope of art in Indonesia. For a scientific approach, the author uses historical methods, literature review, art, video technology and the sociology of art theory. In this study, the authors look for the influence that Youtube has on the development of Video Art in Indonesia, especially in this all-digital era where Youtube is considered to have the right segment of Video art because it has the same characteristics and basis, namely Video.
