Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan cerita dongeng salah satunya berbentuk fabel. Fabel sebaiknya dikenalkan kepada anak sejak memasuki usia sekolah karena fabel bersifat menyampaikan nilai kehidupan, seperti yang terdapat dalam Fabel Si Kancil Yang Terlalu Percaya Diri. Dalam perancangan ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus intrinsik untuk memahami kepribadian Si Kancil. Berdasarkan hasil kajian yang diperoleh penulis menyimpulkan bahwa karakter tokoh utama Si Kancil sendiri memiliki nilai sifat-sifat kepribadian. Sifat-sifat kepribadian Si Kancil sendiri dapat diperlihatkan kepada anak-anak melalui perancangan karakter animasi 3D ekspresi wajah karakter Si Kancil untuk menyampaikan nilai kepribadian dalam karakter Si Kancil sehingga bisa menjadi panutan tentang nilai sosial bagi anak dalam berprilaku di kehidupan sehari-hari. Indonesia is a country which is rich in fairy tales, one of them is fable. Fable should be introduced to children from entering school age because fable is delivering the value of life, as found in fable “The Too Confident Mouse Deerâ€. In this scheme the author uses the case study method to understand personality intrinsic the mouse deer. Based on the study results obtained by the authors conclude that the main character of the mouse deer itself has a value of personality traits. The personality traits hare itself can be shown to children through the design of 3D character animation the mouse deer characters facial expressions to convey the value of personality in the character of the mouse deer so that could be a model of social value for children in behave in everyday life.
