Tujuan perancangan dari tugas akhir ini adalah menentukan konsep Director of photography dengan cara menyusun breakdownshot dan penentuan angle kamera dari film yang diadaptasi dari novel Labirin. Sehingga pesan didalam film pasangan beda agama tersebut dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. Metode perancangan yang digunakan oleh penulis yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif. Langkah pertama dengan mencari data dari studi literatur, studi pustaka, observasi novel, dan wawancara. Langkah selanjutnya analisis data dengan analisa film sejenis dari data yang didapat. Dari hasil analisis data tersebut di terapkan pada proses produksi film. Proses tersebut meliputi pra produksi, produksi, hingga paska produksi. Setelah film jadi dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa peran Director of photography sangat berperan penting khususnya saat menerapkan konsep Director of photography saat pengambilan gambar. Breakdownshot menjadi acuan saat produksi film dan angle kamera merupakan tambahan unsur dramatik dari film. Kata kunci: Adaptasi, Director of photography, pasangan beda agama

The design goal of this thesis is to define the concept of Director of photography by arranging breakdownshot and determination of the camera angle of the film adapted from the novel Labyrinth. So the message of interfaith couples in the film can be conveyed properly. Design method used by the author is using qualitative methods. The first step is to find data from literature, literature, novel observation, and interviews. The next step is data analysis with similar film analysis of the data obtained. From the analysis of the data is applied to the film production process. The process includes pre-production, production, and post production. After the film so it can be concluded that the role of director of photography is very important, especially when applying the concept of director of photography when shooting.
