Pengolahan Limbah Denim Menggunakan Eksplorasi Teknik Surface Textile Design Pada Produk Fesyen

Abstrak

ABSTRACT Fashion is growing in Indonesia with various latest trends. One of them is denim that has many enthusiasts in the fashion world because it becomes a casual clothing that can be used daily. But the more denim productions are made by home industry and garment industry makes so many denim waste produced. Denim waste will then be burned by waste collectors if no further processing is being done and it produce air pollution in the society. Utilization of denim waste can be done by treating the waste using surface textile design techniques to the waste that will have a higher aesthetic value. The purpose of this design is to create a fashion product in the form of Ready to Wear clothing with the application of added waste denim to attract the attention of fashionista that waste can be utilized properly. The research method used by writer is qualitative method in the form of observation, interview, literature study and exploration to produce the composition of waste that will be used.
