Abstract

ABSTRACT These days, the denim textile industry in Indonesia has become one of the most demanded industries by the public. In Bandung, there is a marketplace that is famous for being sales centers for denimbased fabric, namely the Tamim market, which is the oldest center of jeans in the city of Bandung, it’s also famous as a marketplace that sells various types of fabrics, especially fabrics made from denim. Denim has played an important role in the world of the textile industry. The reason is, denim has a strong and sturdy character so that denim material is very much in demand by various groups. In the Tamim market in Bandung there are types of denim waste produced by denim production houses, the waste will be reprocessed to increase the value of the denim character. Denim waste will be incorporated in fashion products using surface textile design techniques, including marbling, patchwork, and bleaching techniques. This study aims to reduce denim waste in production houses located in Tamim st, Bandung and to establish a new form in the world of fashion industry.
