Pengembangan Robot Hexapod sebagai Mainan Custom yang Terinspirasi dari Karakter Babyface
Abstrak
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggabungan estetika karakter Babyface dari film Toy Story dengan mekanisme gerak hexapod ke dalam sebuah mainan kolektibel interaktif bernama Spiderbaby Hexapod. Fokus penelitian meliputi adaptasi proporsi dan detail visual Babyface, pembuatan desain casing modular yang memudahkan pergantian aksesoris dan pola gerak dasar (berjalan, menari, bertarung), serta penerapan finishing premium dan display khusus untuk meningkatkan nilai kolektibel. Metode yang digunakan adalah Human‑Centered Design dengan lima tahap utama: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Partisipan dari komunitas Toy Story Collection Indonesia dan seorang hobiis robotika terlibat dalam validasi perancangan, memberikan umpan balik positif pada fungsi interaktif, kemudahan kustomisasi, estetika visual, dan kualitas konstruksi. Prinsip fair use diterapkan untuk legitimasi akademik penggunaan karakter Babyface tanpa tujuan komersial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Spiderbaby Hexapod berhasil menciptakan pengalaman bermain yang imersif dan personal dengan dukungan gerak responsif, modularitas casing, serta daya tarik display eksklusif. Temuan ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi desainer produk dalam menciptakan mainan kolektibel interaktif yang mengintegrasikan karakter pop culture dan teknologi mekanis.
