Individuals can discover what disorders they may be experiencing and find solutions to the problems they face, as well as receive support when needed. The benefits of AI can be immense for those who find it difficult to access in-person mental care. However, the use of AI is not without its drawbacks, including issues such as self-diagnosis, anxiety, and even depression. There is a lack of research on the psychological impact of using AI for mental health literacy. Therefore, this study aims to explore people's perceptions of using AI as a medium for mental health literacy so that researchers can understand the positive and negative impacts of this behavior. The subjects of this study were 204 individuals in Bandung who had searched for and read about mental health literacy. This study is quantitative, employing a mental health literacy perception scale with 51 items and a reliability value of 0.959. The results indicated that 49.51% had negative perceptions of mental health literacy, while 50.49% had positive perceptions.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26181Representation of Gen Z Women’s Characteristics in the Visual Promotion of the Export Bag Brand on Instagram2025-06-04T18:36:25+07:00Apsari Wiba Pamela[email protected]Bhima Danniswara[email protected]Reza Firman Ramadani[email protected]
Gen Z is known as a generation of digital natives, with social media already being an integral part of their lives. Gen Z possesses distinct characteristics such as social awareness and a strong orientation toward a modern lifestyle. The Exsport brand utilizes Instagram to promote its products by presenting visuals that depict Gen Z women as active, independent, and stylish consumers. The object of this study is the promotional visual content uploaded on Exsport’s official Instagram account. This research uses a qualitative approach by collecting data through selected sample content that represents the overall promotional visuals on Exsport’s Instagram. It is also supported by questionnaire data collected from the audience to provide direct insights from Gen Z female audiences. In the data analysis process, this study employs Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic theory to analyze visual elements such as model imagery, color, clothing, graphic elements, and typography used in Exsport’s promotional visuals. Through this approach, the researcher can identify the relationship between the signifier and the signified. The aim of this study is to analyze the representation of Gen Z women’s characteristics as reflected in Exsport’s promotional visuals on Instagram. The research findings are expected to provide insight into how Exsport conveys messages and builds brand identity through visuals that align with Gen Z women’s values, as well as contribute to the development of effective digital marketing strategies for younger audiences.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26266The Exploring Digital Presence of Papuan Ethnic Groups: A Study on Cultural Representation in Websites2025-06-04T19:19:32+07:00Siwi Anjar Sari[email protected]Astiti Ramdani Elmanisa[email protected]
Papua is the easternmost region of Indonesia, rich in cultural and ethnic diversity. It’s home to hundreds of indigenous tribes, many of which remain undocumented and largely unexplored. In this context, websites play a crucial role as accessible and sustainable digital archives. This study explores the digital representation of Papua’s remote tribes by analyzing website content discussing indigenous Papuan communities. Findings show that only a few websites specifically highlight remote tribes. Of the 255 officially recognized tribes, only the Dani tribe receives significant attention, appearing in 7 national and 2 local media websites, indicating a major gap in cultural documentation.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26053The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Campaign Animation Video Design Makanan Bergizi Gratis (MBG)2025-06-04T18:53:46+07:00Pebriyanto[email protected]Muhamad Naufal Raditya[email protected]Athila Raditya Rahman[email protected]

This research examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in producing animated campaign videos. The study focuses on Makanan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), an Indonesian government initiative aimed at improving children's nutrition, as a case study. Using a qualitative approach—specifically, a case study combining design review methods and visual semiotics analysis—the research explores how AI-generated visuals shape public perception and cultural representation in state media. The findings reveal that, although AI can speed up production and reduce costs, it has also resulted in aesthetic inconsistencies and ideological ambiguities, particularly in the depiction of human figures and material symbols. Many critics highlighted the neglect of local creative talent and the poor quality of the visuals. This article asserts that AI should serve as a supporting tool, not the primary creator, in cultural production. The article emphasizes the importance of the ethical and contextual application of AI in public media and the need for policies that guarantee human creatives' involvement in future government communication strategies.

2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26259Cultural Branding in Healthy Snack Packaging: A Visual Rebranding Project for Syasyiri 2025-06-26T09:35:08+07:00Nurul Qalbiana[email protected]Yanuar Rahman[email protected]
This study presents a packaging rebranding project for Syasyiri, a Bandung-based healthy snack micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME). With the tagline “Snacking Without Guilt,” Syasyiri offers low-calorie, homemade snacks for health-conscious consumers. The redesign adopts a cultural branding approach by integrating local visual identity–such as the Mega Mendung batik motif, alongside thoughtful color use, integrated layout, and friendly typography to reflect values of health, fun, and simplicity. The result is a standing pouch with improved visual appeal and functionality. Complementary digital and physical point-of-purchase (PoP) strategies were also developed to enhance brand visibility and market reach.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26179Visual Narrative Approach in Zines: A Case Study of Cikondang Traditional Village2025-06-24T14:55:43+07:00Telma Timothea[email protected]Yanuar Rahman, S.Ds., M.Ds.[email protected]
This study aims to understand the contribution of visual narratives in conveying the cultural message of Kampung Adat Cikondang through a zine titled Memandang Cikondang. A qualitative descriptive method was used to analyze data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with customary leaders, and visual documentation. The results show that visual narratives combining elements of typography, illustration, and photography effectively interact with textual narratives to communicate the cultural richness of the traditional village. These findings support Caputo's theory, which emphasizes the importance of dialogue between text and image in creating a complete and contextual narrative. The balance between visual elements and textual narratives in the zine allows for an engaging and accessible delivery of cultural messages, especially for the younger generation. This research confirms the role of zines as innovative and potential cultural communication media in preserving local culture, while also filling the gap in literature regarding zine design methods in the context of traditional culture.
2025-08-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM)https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26178Redesigning Dedegler Coffee Packaging2025-06-26T09:31:35+07:00Nabilla Izzani Maulydda[email protected]Yanuar Rahman, S.Ds., M.Ds.[email protected]
Dedegler is an Arabica coffee brand from Mount Puntang, known for its quality products and strong philosophy in preserving local coffee. The brand was registered in 2018, although it has been active since 2011. Currently, the existing packaging design is considered unrepresentative of the brand's bold flavor profile, local values, and unique identity particularly in appealing to the upper-middle-class market segment. In a competitive coffee industry where visual differentiation plays a critical role in capturing consumer attention, the need to redesign is driven by strategic branding objectives rather than immediate operational urgency.

This research aims to develop a functional and effective packaging design that aligns with Dedegler's philosophy and communicates its value proposition clearly. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation.
