The study was conducted through in-depth interviews with 30 doctors, nurses, and administrative staff from three hospitals in Indonesia. The focus of the research was to find out how users viewed Zi.Care applications as easy to use and easy-to-use, as well as how cultural adjustments in interface design affected acceptance of applications. The results of the study show that the Zi.Care interface is considered easy to use and user-friendly by most respondents. With the use of local languages, familiar symbols, and layouts that match Indonesian cultural preferences, the interface was well received by users. After they saw the app become easier to use, respondents said Zi.Care helped them manage patients' medical records better and reduced administrative burdens. However, the research also found technical problems, such as unstable internet connectivity and a lack of hardware. Besides, the need for more training and technical support is also a major concern. Overall, this research shows that a culture-based user interface helps people use the Zi.Care health app. These results give application developers and policymakers important insights into the importance of considering cultural elements when designing health technology to enhance adoption and use in hospitals. To ensure the successful implementation of this technology, adequate technical support and infrastructure are required.
Rully Sumarlin, Muhammad Adharamadinka, Mario Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/26173 Tue, 04 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Adaptation Strategies at Omah Lowo as a Place to Promote Creative Industry Products https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/22579
This paper reflects on the adaptability of heritage buildings in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. A. Milne, with a specific focus on the evolution of character design in Disney adaptations. Four main characters—Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger—are the subjects of this investigation. The analysis dissects the messages conveyed through each character utilizing Susanne K. Langer's semiotics. Langer posits that if one symbolism is inadequate, human intelligence will seek out alternative symbolism. Hence, effective character design plays a crucial role in conveying specific emotions and messages. Character colors, such as the yellow and red hues of Pooh, the pink of Piglet, the gray of Eeyore, and the orange of Tigger, reflect the characters' traits and emotions, establishing distinctive visual identities. According to Susanne Langer's theory, the conclusion underscores the complexity of the relationship between color, character, and narrative in visual art, particularly within the context of design alterations undertaken by Disney. The results also show each character’s relation to mental health issues. These characters appeal as a new meaning in supporting social concerns about mental health and educate new generations to overcome their mental health problems.
Johanna Sundah, Roro Retno Wulan Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/22604 Tue, 04 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Application of Ulos Woven Wastra as Creative Industry Product for Lake Toba Tourism https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/22565
The Lake Toba region is recognized as one of the areas designated as a Super Priority Tourism Destination (SPTD) by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia. The research method was conducted in two phases. The first was qualitative research to obtain the essential elements of the traditional cloth as a unique local sense of place, which could be adopted for the second phase, practice-based research through creative product design, utilizing key facts and sources from the first phase. The Qualitative research phase conducted interviews with driving actors in Ulos village, observation, documentation, and literature study, while the design research was carried out using research-led practice with stages of the design thinking process. The results of the first phase of research were the mapping out of traditional cloth characteristics and their various motifs. This climate has hot weather throughout the year yet accompanied by high rainfall in certain months of the year. With the climate situation mentioned previously, the choice of material for residential building envelope is crucial for residential architects. Traditional architecture on the island of Java is architecture in which the covering material of a building is made of woven bamboo sheets or wooden sheets parallelly arranged with wooden sticks as the main construction material. Unfortunately, buildings with these materials have been abandoned and replaced with brick structures introduced by colonial influences that colonized Indonesia. Wood and bamboo materials are known as materials that have low thermal lag so that heat transfer can occur rapidly without any delay, hence why they are considered suitable for coastal areas. In this research, the team will prove the advantages and disadvantages of envelope materials based on literature studies on energy efficiency theory and the selection of building envelope materials. From the results of the research carried out, it is a material framework for further research, namely how to use building envelope materials in accordance with their function.
Irwana Zulfia Budiono, Hana Faza Surya Rusyda, Fernando Septony Siregar, Lintang Khairani, Desak Putu Ira Maharani Copyright (c) 2025 Bandung Creative Movement (BCM) https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/22566 Tue, 04 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Correspondence Analysis between Cycling Time and The Purpose of Cycling Activities in Urban Areas https://openlibrarypublications.telkomuniversity.ac.id/index.php/bcm/article/view/22574
Bandung has supported the movement to support healthy living by facilitating bike shelters. The FIFA World Cup U-17 Indonesia has made history and suddenly made spectators a part of crucial consumers for the national football team. This study investigates the impact of brand loyalty, attitudinal attachment, sense of community, and active engagement on fostering robust customer loyalty. Employing a mixed-method research design, we collected quantitative data from 350 spectators alongside qualitative insights through in-depth interviews. Our objective was to delineate how these elements of brand resonance collectively reinforce customer loyalty within the context of spectator sports. The quantitative analyses utilized SPSS to establish the relationships between variables, while the thematic analysis of interview transcripts provided a narrative understanding of the spectator experience. The results revealed that attitudinal attachment and a sense of community significantly predicted brand loyalty, which directly influenced customer retention and advocacy behaviors. Additionally, active engagement emerged as a critical driver for the depth and sustainability of customer loyalty.
