Perancangan Dan Implementasi Wide Area Network Menggunakan Gre Tunnels Dengan Protokol Eigrp Pada Jaringan Telkom Schools

Abstract

Abstrak Jaringan komputer adalah kumpulan dari dua komputer autonomous atau lebih yang terkoneksi melalu media kabel maupun nirkabel. Jaringan Komputer secara dasar terbagi menjadi beberapa katagori berdasarkan daerah cakupan yaitu Local Area Network (LAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), dan Wide Area Network (WAN). Sedangkan jenis jaringan yang berskala global disebut internet. GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) adalah sebuah tunnelling protokol yang sebenarnya dikembangkan oleh Cisco System. Manfaat menggunakan protokol ini yaitu dapat melakukan enkapsulasi berbagai protokol yang dibuat untuk kebutuhan link virtual point to point. Protokol EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) menggabungkan kemampuan dari Link State Protokol dan Distance Vector Protokol. EIGRP adalah propriertary protocol pada CISCO dimana EIGRP ini hanya bisa digunakan sesama router CISCO saja dan routing ini tidak didukung dalam jenis router yang lain. Telkom Schools merupakan brand yang digunakan untuk lembaga pendidikan tingkat dasar dan menengah di bawah Yayasan Pendidikan Telkom (YPT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perancangan jaringan WAN pada Telkom Schools dengan menggunakan GRE TUNNELS dengan protokol EIGRP. Kata Kunci : Computer Networks, Wide Area Networks. Computer networks are basically divided into several categories based on coverage areas, namely Local Area Network (LAN), Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN). While this type of global scale network is called the internet. GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) is a tunneling protocol that was actually developed by Cisco Systems. The benefit of using this protocol is that it can encapsulate various protocols created for the need for point to point virtual links. The EIGRP protocol (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) combines the capabilities of the Link State Protocol and the Distance Vector Protocol. EIGRP is a propriertary protocol on CISCO where this EIGRP can only be used by other CISCO routers and this routing is not supported in other types of routers. Telkom Schools are brands that are used for primary and secondary education institutions under the Telkom Education Foundation (YPT).
