Analisis Perbandingan UDP dan DCCP Pada Jaringan SD-WAN

Abstract

Abstrak-Aplikasi multimedia memberlakukan persyaratan kualitas layanan atau Quality of Services (QoS). Salah satu faktor penting yang mempengaruhi dari kualitas layanan berada pada lapisan protokol transport. Penggunaan protokol transport yang tepat akan memberikan hasil pemanfaatan sumber daya jaringan yang optimal. UDP dan DCCP merupakan protokol yang berada pada lapisan protokol transport. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis Quality of Services (QoS) penggunaan protokol transport UDP dan DCCP pada arsitektur jaringan SD-WAN dengan memberikan arus lalu lintas data video. Parameter analisis Quality of Services (QoS) yang akan digunakan adalah throughput, packet loss dan delay. Hasil pengujian dengan memberi arus lalu lintas video dengan variasi background traffic didapatkan hasil bahwa penggunaan protokol transport UDP memberikan performansi yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan DCCP. Sedangkan pada pengujian dengan memberikan variasi resolusi, performansi dari protokol transport DCCP lebih baik dalam resolusi rendah sedangkan pada resolusi tinggi UDP lebih unggul. Selain itu, penggunaan DCCP akan lebih cocok jika digunakan pada jalur jaringan yang tidak terdapat aliran arus lalu lintas data yang besar karena jika terdapat aliran arus lalu lintas data yang besar akan mengakibatkan penurunan performansi layanan.
