Performansi Digitized Radio-over-fiber (d-rof) Pada Jaringan 40g Wdm-pon Sisi Downstream

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) yang mentransmisikan sinyal radio analog masih terdapat beberapa masalah diantaranya distorsi inter-modulasi (IMD) yang disebabkan oleh factor nonlinearitas dari gelombang mikro dan komponen optik. Bit rate yang tinggi menyebabkan informasi yang ditransmisikan rentan terhadap inter-symbol interference (ISI) dan dispersi pada serat optik. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan mengkonversi sinyal analog menjadi sinyal digital, atau yang disebut digitalisasi, dan mengkompensasi dispersi dengan Dispersion Compensating Fiber (DCF). Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan analisis terhadap performansi Digitized Radio-over-Fiber berdasarkan BER, Q-Factor, dan daya yang disimulasikan dengan program simulasi Optisystem lalu dibandingkan dengan Analog Radio-over-Fiber yang kedua sistem tersebut diintegrasikan dengan jaringan WDM-PON dengan bit rate akumulasi 40 Gbps. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan Analog RoF mempunyai Q-Factor 16,26; 14,03; 8,92 dan Digitized RoF mempunyai Q-Factor 22,15; 17,84; 10,52; pada jarak transmisi 40 km, 60 km, dan 80 km. Kata kunci : Radio-over-Fiber, Analog, Digitized, WDM-PON, 40G ABSTRACT Radio-over-Fiber technology that transmitted analog radio signal still experienced some problems including inter-modulation distortion (IMD) caused by nonlinearity factor from microwave and optical component. High bit rate transmission caused the transmitted information to be susceptible to inter-symbol interference (ISI) and dispersion in optical fiber. Solutions to these problems are converting the analog radio signal to become digitized, and using a Dispersion Compensating Fiber (DCF). In this research we have done some analysis about Digitized Radio-over-Fiber performance based on its BER, Q-Factor, and power. The result will be compared to Analog Radio-over-Fiber system. Both systems have 40 Gbps bit rate accumulation and is integrated with WDM-PON network. From the simulation we get the results for Analog RoF with Q-Factor 16,2676; 14,0293; 8,9212 and Digitized RoF with Q-Factor 22,15; 17,84; 10,52; for the transmission distance of 40 km, 60 km, and 80 km..
