Implementasi Sistem Peminjaman Buku Selfloan Dengan Rfid Pada Open Library Universitas Telkom : Implementation Of Self Service Loan System Using Rfid In Telkom University Open Library

Abstract

Abstrak Radio frequency identification (RFID) adalah suatu sistem keamanan yang menggunakan gelombang radio, teknologi ini menggunakan tiga jenis perangkat yaitu tag , reader dan antena. Salah satu pengaplikasian penggunaan RFID adalah pada perpustakaan berbasis teknologi. penggunaan RFID dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi peminjaman buku khususnya layanan self Loan yang tersedia pada perpustakaan teknologi ini. Pada tugas akhir ini penulis akan menggunakan sistem RFID untuk peminjaman buku di perpustakaan Universitas Telkom dengan metode self loan. Metode ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah mahasiswa meminjam buku dengan cara Tag Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa dan Buku yang ingin dipinjam pada mesin RFID dengan melalukannya sendiri, metode ini diharapkan dapat mengefisiensikan waktu apabila banyak mahasiswa yang meminjam buku secara bersamaan. Sistem ini bekerja dengan cara membaca Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa yang sudah di tap oleh mahasiswa, begitu juga dengan buku yang di tap untuk dipinjam oleh mahasiswa akan terbaca oleh sistem. Data yang berhasil dibaca akan disimpan di dalam Arduino yang terhubung dengan database yang ada di perpustakaan Universitas Telkom dengan begitu mahasiswa tersebut sudah berhasil meminjam buku. Pada pegujian Tugas akhir ini didapatkan hasil semua fungsi fitur yang ada pada perangkat yang sudah dirancang berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai yang diharapkan. Perangkat berhasil mendeteksi Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa dan beberapa buku yang sudah penulis pinjam di open library Telkom University. Kata Kunci : Radio frequency identification (RFID), Self Service, Reader, Arduino Abstract Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a security system that uses radio waves, this technology uses three types of devices, namely tag s, readers and antennas. One application of the use of RFID is in technology-based libraries. the use of RFID is needed to improve the efficiency of borrowing books, especially the self loan services available in this technology library. In this final project the author will use an RFID system to borrow books at the Telkom University library using the self loan method. This method aims to make it easier for students to borrow books by way of tag ging Student Identity Cards and Books that they want to borrow on RFID machines by doing it themselves, this method is expected to streamline time if many students borrow books simultaneously. This system works by reading Student Signs that have been taped by students, as well as books that are taped to be borrowed by students will be read by the system. The data that is successfully read will be stored in Arduino which is connected to the database in the Telkom University library so that the student has successfully borrowed the book. In the testing of this final project, the results of all the feature functions that have been designed on the device are running well and as expected. The device successfully detected Student Identity Cards and several books that I had borrowed from the Telkom University open library.
