Abstract

Abstrak Tugas Akhir ini melakukan studi atas Optical Wireless Communication, pada saat ini teknologi telekomunikasi semakin berkembang sangat pesat. Salah satunya teknologi nirkabel, teknologi ini terbagi menjadi beberapa macamnya tergantung medium yang digunakan. Visible Light Communication adalah teknologi di bidang nikabel optik yang menawarkan media komunikasi serta penerangan karena menggunakan cahaya tampak sebagai medium. VLC memiliki permasalahan, salah satunya adalah seberapa jauh cakupan yang dapat dipancarkan oleh lampu Light Emitting Diode (LED). Untuk mendapatkan seberapa jauh cakupan yang dapat dipancarkan, Tugas Akhir ini melakukan analisis sudut Full Width at Half Maximum dan koordinat LED. Tugas Akhir ini menggunakan empat buah LED yang diletakkan di atap ruangan yang mempunyai dimensi 5x5x3 m3 . Kinerja sistem dievaluasi menggunakan beberapa parameter yaitu, Bit Error Rate (BER), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), dan Optical Distribution. Kontribusi Tugas Akhir ini adalah mendapatkan seberapa jauh cakupan yang didapat dipancarkan LED berdasarkan nilai BER ≤ 10−3 . Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa dengan sudut FWHM 40ᶿ, jarak terjauh receiver dari transmitter adalah sebesar 2,51 ð’Ž dan luas cakupannya sebesar 20,68 m2 . One of them is wireless communication, it is divided into several kinds depending on the medium used. Visible Light Communication is one of the optical wireless technology which provides communication and illumination, because using visible light as a medium. One of the problem that occur on the VLC is how far the coverage that can emitted by Light Emitting Diode (LED). To get how far coverage can be emmited by LED, this final assignment performs an analysis of Full Width at Half Maximum and coordinate of LED. This final assignment uses 4 LED placed on the roof of a room that has dimension 5x5x3 ð¦ðŸ‘ . System performance is evaluated using several parameters i.e Bit Error Rate (BER), Signal to Ratio Noise (SNR), and Optical Distribution. The contribution of this final assignment is to get how far the coverage can be emitted by LED based on BER ≤ ðŸðŸŽâˆ’👠. The results of this final assignment were that acquired that with an angle of FWHM 40ᶿ, the receiver farthest distance from transmitter by 2.51 ð’Ž and the wide coverage is 20.68 ð¦ðŸ .
