Pengaruh Pola Komunikasi Keluarga Terhadap Kemampuan Pengambilan Keputusan Karir Remaja

Remaja SMA dituntut untuk memenuhi tugasnya terkait rencana pemilihan jurusan kuliah ke Perguruan tinggi. Tidak mudah bagi remaja untuk menentukan pilihan karena banyak faktor yang mempengaruhinya, termasuk pola komunikasi yang berbeda dalam keluarga sehingga remaja mengalami kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pegaruh pola komunikasi keluarga terhadap kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karir remaja berdasarkan teori yang diciptakan oleh Fitzpatrick dan Itamar Gati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif korelasional dengan menggunakan teknik probability sampling dan jumah respoden 252 siswa kelas XII SMAN 3 Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa derajat kesulitan remaja terkategorikan sedang (m=4.28) dilihat dari salah satu kategori yaitu lack of readiness (m=4.9). Selain itu ada pengaruh yang signifikan positif antara pola komunikasi keluarga dan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir, yaitu sebesar (r=.329, p<0.001). Adapun pengaruh yang signifikan positif antara pola komunikasi keluarga dan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir, yaitu sebesar (r=.549, p<0.001). Sedangkan, tipe pola komunikasi keluarga yang paling mempengaruhi kemampuan dalam pengambilan keputusan adalah prulalistic (r=.407, p< p<0.001). Abstract
High school teenagers were required to complete their duties related to plans to choose a college major to continue to university. It was not easy for adolescents to make choices because there are many factors that influence it, including different communication pattern in the family that affected difficulties in career decision making. This study aims to determine the influence of family communication pattern on adolescent career decision making abilities based on theories created by Fitzpatrick and Itamar Gati. quantitative correlational using probability sampling techniques and the amount of responden are 252 students in class XII SMAN 3 Bandung. . The result showed that the degree of difficulty of adolescent XII students at SMAN 3 Bandung was categorized as medium (m = 4.28) seen from one of the categories namely lack of readiness (m = 4.9). There was a positive significant effect between family communication patterns and the difficulty of career decision making, which was equal to (r = .329, p <0.001). There was a significant positive effect between family communication patterns and career decision-making difficulties, which was equal to (r = .549, p <0.001). The type of family communication pattern that most influences decision-making ability is pluralistic (r = .407, p <p <0.001).
