Hubungan Self-esteem dengan Sexting Behavior Pada Remaja
Abstract
Dampak negatif terbesar dari penggunaan internet yaitu kemudahan untuk mengakses konten yang bersifat s eks
ual. Salah satu fenomena terbaru dari meningkatnya penggunaan internet adalah sexting. Sexting merupakan
aktivitas mengirim dan menerima pesan berkonten seksual antara dua orang, baik berupa pesan teks, foto,
ataupun video. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Sensation Seeking dan
Self-esteem terhadap Sexting Behavior. Penelitian ini mengguanakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode
analisis korelasi spearman. Sampel penelitian ini melibatkan 400 responden yang diambil dengan teknik nonprobability
sampling. Kuesioner yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah Sexting Behavior scale oleh Dir. The
Self-Liking/Self-competence Scale oleh Tafarodi dan Swann. Pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas dilakukan
untuk menguji setiap item kuesioner. Sedangkan pengujian statistik menggunakan analisis korelasi spearman
untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa 1) Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara Self-esteem dengan Sexting Behavior. 2) Hubungan antara
Self-esteem dan Sexting Behavior merupakan hubungan negatifsangat lemah.
