Peran Asisten Praktikum Dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Mahasiswa Program Studi Diploma Iii Perhotelan Di Telkom University

Abstract

ABSTRAK Mata kuliah Operasional Restoran di Diploma III Perhotelan Telkom University adalah materi mengenai Food and beverage service. Asisten Praktikum food and beverage service di program studi D3 Perhotelan Telkom University adalah mahasiswa yang mampu bertugas sebagai pelatih untuk memberikan contoh pada saat pelaksanaan praktik sehingga asisten praktikum harus menguasai mata kuliah food and beverage agar memperlancar aktivitasnya pada saat general praktikum. Asisten praktikum harus membantu dosen dari segi penilaian, administrasi, pelatihan, bagi mahasiswa baru atau mahasiswa setingkat yang mengikuti praktik karena peran asisten praktikum sangat berpengaruh dalam keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar terutama untuk kompetensi dalam hal food and beverage. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Teknik Deskriptif Kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pentingnya peran asisten praktikum pada jurusan perhotelan, pelaksanaan praktikum, kelancaran operasional. Kata kunci : Kompetensi Mahasiswa, Peran Asisten Praktikum , Pelaksanaan Praktikum ABSTRACT The Restaurant Operations course in Telkom University Diploma III Hospitality is material on Food and beverage service. Practicum assistants for food and beverage service in the D3 Hospitality study program at Telkom University are students who are able to serve as trainers to provide examples during practical implementation so that practicum assistants must master the food and beverage subject in order to facilitate their activities during general practicum. Practicum assistants must assist lecturers in terms of assessment, administration, training, for new students or students at the level of practice because the role of practicum assistants is very influential in the success of the teaching and learning process, especially for competence in terms of food and beverage. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative technique and data collection techniques in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate the importance of the role of the practicum assistant in the hospitality department, practicum implementation, smooth operations.
