Pengaplikasian Teknik Xerography Image Transfer Pada Material Tekstil

Abstract

ABSTRACT Xerography is a process to print text or graphic design on paper by using photocopy machine. Xerography was only known as an attribute to publish creations or to deliver messages. As its development these days, Darlene Olivia Mc Elroy Introduced a newly innovative xerography called xerography image transfer. But there are still few designers who is using xerography image transfer technique as an alternative way making patterns on textile to produce fashion products. The method that is used in this research is expected to give an alternative way of manual printing technique, called xerography image transfer. This research aims to inform that the effect and result from xerography image transfer character still has aesthetic value when they are being applied on textile till it be produced as fashion product. Questionnaire to know target market interest of the products that will be made and also doing some experiments on specific material using the right transfer liquid. The result of this experiments will be developed into designing process of the products that refer to the right target market The result of this research is expected to give an alternative way of manual printing technique, called xerography image transfer. This research aims to inform that the effect and result from xerography image transfer character still has aesthetic value when they are being applied on textile till it be produced as fashion products.
