Abstrak

ABSTRACT Mixed material emerged with the ideology that art is not limited to classy textile materials, but even unexpected textile material around the potential for processing mixed materials. Among them are PVC organza and mica materials. The 2020 trend of the New Age Zen concept in the fashion industry in the use of 3D embellishment as a decorative element in fashion will feature narcissistic, active, and relaxed characters. By using bright colors, the development of organza and PVC mica as 3D embellishment module material is felt to be in accordance with the intended concept. The method used in this research is literature study, observation, interview, and exploration. The techniques that are considered appropriate in the process of material exploration are cutting manually and using solder, hot textiles use heatgun, beading, layering, and embroidery. Exploration begins with the introduction of material characteristics, stylized module shape, modular manufacturing, and composition of 3D embellishment modules This study aims to develop the potential of PVC organza and mica in mixed material processing to generate new innovations in the use of 3D embellishment module material types that are applied to fashion products in the form of fashion by applying the New Age Zen trend as its design line.
