Analisis Penerapan Model Bisnis Sirkular pada Usaha Kecil dan Menengah: Studi Kasus The New Factory
Abstract
Peningkatan jumlah limbah, terutama dari industri tekstil, telah menjadi isu lingkungan global yang mendesak dan
memerlukan solusi inovatif. Model bisnis sirkular (MBS) hadir sebagai pendekatan strategis untuk mengatasi masalah ini
dengan mengubah pola produksi-konsumsi linear menjadi siklus tertutup, namun penerapannya pada Usaha Kecil dan
Menengah (UKM) di Indonesia masih terbatas.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model bisnis sirkular pada UKM The New Factory (TNF) di
Bandung, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam proses adopsinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan
metode kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi untuk memperoleh
pemahaman kontekstual secara menyeluruh.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TNF berhasil menerapkan prinsip-prinsip sirkular melalui strategi daur ulang
dan upcycling limbah tekstil menjadi produk bernilai, didorong oleh gairah sosial, kepedulian lingkungan, dan pencarian
peluang ekonomi. Faktor internal seperti motivasi pekerja dan format koperasi mendukung transformasi ini, meskipun
tantangan seperti keterbatasan dana dan kesadaran pasar masih ada.
Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya dukungan kebijakan yang berpihak pada UKM berkelanjutan serta
penguatan ekosistem kolaboratif antara pelaku usaha, komunitas, dan pemerintah. Bagi pelaku UKM, studi ini menjadi
referensi strategis dalam mengadopsi model bisnis sirkular untuk meningkatkan daya saing sekaligus berkontribusi pada
keberlanjutan lingkungan.
