Artificial Intelligence and Human Designers: Integration or Competing in the Creative Industry
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been used in various fields of human work, including the creative industry. AI is able to generate images and various visual outputs in a short time. This research explores whether AI functions as a designer tool or as a disruptive force that competes with and potentially replaces the role of designers. Understanding the integration of artificial intelligence into the design process and its influence on designers by use of descriptive qualitative methods. This study contributes to understanding the limitations of AI use for designers and provides insights for academics in the AI era and designers.
